Our involvement in the local community extends beyond providing quality legal advice – we have staff members who make a significant difference in their local communities.

From staff using their skillset to aid Women’s Refuges, to supporting grassroots sports, and much more. We are proud to be heavily involved in the communities surrounding our 12 office locations. Below are some of the ways in which we support our local communities.

Proud sponsors of Blackburn Rovers Football Club

With our head office being situated in the heart of Blackburn town Centre and having a number of staff (Including Managing Director Elton) who are Blackburn Rovers mad, it’s no surprise that you can see the WR of Watson Ramsbottom in some way, shape or form connected to our local football club…

It all started in 2018 when we became the back of shirt sponsor for the men’s first team, whilst adorning the front of the women’s! This continued until 2024 when we swapped roles & opted to become front of shirt sponsor for the men’s first team and head to the back of the women’s.

For those of you who, like a lot of our staff, love the Blue and White of Blackburn Rovers, you’ll be able to see our name and logo proudly dotted around Ewood Park on match days.

We are also very proud to show our support for initiatives run by both the club and Community Trust, such as ‘Remember The Rovers’, which aims to support those with dementia or Alzheimer’s in rekindling some fond memories of supporting the club.

Watson Ramsbottom helped the Great Harwood Rovers Football Club secure land in order to continue playing their games & have been the clubs main sponsor for many years.

Rolls Bowling Club, Barnoldswick

Since 2023, we have had our Steeles brand proudly advertised around the green.

Clitheroe Rugby Union Football Club

Our Steeles branch is proud to be the principal partner of Clitheroe Rugby Club, with the logo donning the first team shirts and signage around the ground!

Diggle Juniors FC

Our Carters brand are proud sponsors of Diggle Juniors under 8’s football club – a club close to the heart of Director Claire Egerton over at our Delph office.

In addition to this, Carters have provided sponsorship to local coach John Fenton with his Elite Training programme.

Darwen Cricket Club

You will see Advertising around the Ground throughout the Cricket season as well as being an official commercial partner of the club.

Mill Hill Juniors

Elton Ashworth, our MD helps with the running of the team with his coaching expertise and we’re proud sponsors of the club’s training kit which we have signed a long-term deal to be a part of.

East End Bowling Club, Lytham

Since 2024, we have had advertising around the green of East End Bowling Club since the arrival of our Lytham office.

ELFDA WOOLRIDE (Pleckgate Playing Fields)

We are delighted to be the named sponsor for the arena on Pleckgate playing fields local to Blackburn.

Local Businesses

We also provide our assistance to the local Citizens’ Advice Bureau by providing support to their clients.

We regularly support our business clients’ charitable fundraising events & have become Gold Patrons of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, a local charitable organisation which helps shape the lives of local young children.

Local Schools/Education

Other staff members volunteer for the National Literacy Trust, assisting on projects in local schools, and other staff occasionally act as Local Authority ‘Wardens’ assisting in dance classes and productions with local children.

We have also invested heavily on infrastructure in local schools, such as Equipment sheds & the modernisation of corridors and classrooms, just to name a few.

In addition, we have also sponsored initiatives at local schools, such as the ‘litter picking kids’ which enabled the school to provide equipment for the children as well as high-viz jackets.
