Biography
Zoe has worked exclusively within family law for 9 years, was admitted as a Solicitor November 2022, and became an Associate Solicitor in August 2025.
She regularly represents parents and other family members in private law disputes concerning children, regarding where the children shall live and who the children shall spend time with, specific issue orders, prohibited steps orders and enforcement and variation of orders relating to children. Many of Zoe’s private law children dispute cases are complex, including allegations of domestic abuse, alienating behaviours and require fact finding hearings. Zoe handles the sensitivity of such matters with care.
Zoe’s practice includes supporting clients who have experienced domestic abuse, in which action is taken to obtain protective orders such as non-molestation and prohibited steps orders. Zoe understands the urgency of these cases and works to ensure clients feel protected and safe, as well as advising on the wider family law issues that arise, such as the impact of domestic abuse on arrangements for children and practical protective measures. Her practice has included contempt of court applications relating to breaches of non-molestation orders.
Zoe has experience of representing parents in care and supervision order proceedings involving issues relating to very serious domestic abuse allegations, drug and alcohol misuse, sexual abuse, mental health difficulties.
Zoe also deals with non-court dispute resolution assisting families to reach a resolution, where possible, without the need for protracted proceedings.
Zoe is a member of Resolution and is an accredited specialist in Domestic Abuse and Children Law – Private, demonstrating her ability to deal with cases in a constructive manner with the children at the forefront of decision making.
Zoe is assisted by Maajid Jamil, paralegal and Diane Cowgill and Zoyah Marwah, secretarial support.
